Nakayama Awasedo Koppa

The Nakayama mine closed permanently long ago but Nakayama awasedo was known as the best finishing natural stone due to its very smooth, even grain and appropriate hardness. Nakayama mine was owned by the Kato family and these Nakayama awasedo have their name stamped on them.

 

Awasedo stones are finishing stones, so expect a higher grit feeling 6000+ plus!
